Cristian S. Mendoza: Most Outstanding Achiever 2017 for Off Campus Leadership

      Mr. Cristian S. Mendoza , a 4th year BLIS student was awarded as the Most Outstanding Achiever 2017 for Off Campus Leadership during the MSEUF Graduation Ball on May 22, 2017 at the Queen Margarette Hotel, Brgy. Domoit , Lucena City.

This award was given to deserving students who shows  exemplary character and leadership specially in performing community related activities outside the campus.

Mr. Mendoza has been a former President of the Lib.Com which during the time initiated a lot of community outreach programs such as Librarianihan, Zumbook, etc.

He is also the current President of the Rho Tau Gamma which is also involved with a lot of community related activities.

That’s is why he got the award. Kodus to Mr. Cristian Mendoza. May you continue to be a good example of a leader!

Philippine Librarianship: Series 2 Seminar


The MLIS presenters after they received their certificate of recognition.

The Lib.Com in cooperation with the University Libraries hold the Philippine Librarianship: Series 2 seminar on May 6, 2017 at the  Library Seminar Hall with a theme “Looking beyond bookshelves”.

The seminar aimed to equip the   participants with the knowledge about   Philippine librarianship and to have more global understandings about the profession.

The MLIS students serves as the presenters of the different topics while the BLIS and some invited guess serves as the audience and participants.

The library staff together with the GGNHS faculty during the Adopt-A-Library activity.

On April 5, 2017, the library staff through the “Adopt-a-Library Project” has able to donate 1,155 volumes of books to the following recipient schools/libraries: Gulang-Gulang National High School, Lucena Dalahican   National High School and Lucena City National High School.

Those books were gratefully received by their respective library in charge, property custodian and coordinators of each schools/libraries.

The University Libraries hope that those books will be used and be of great help to the different schools adopted. For these books will help students enrich their information literacy skills and prepare them to be globally competitive individuals in the   coming years .

Basic Education Library Activities

The winners of Book of Knowledge together with their adviser Mrs. Fe Bartiana and Mrs. Farquerabao and Ms. Anyayahan, BED Librarians.

Every end of the school year, the Basic Education Library awards winners for Star of Knowledge and Best Library User. They were awarded during the Basic Education Department Recognition Day last March 23, 2017.For this year the winners for Star of Knowledge were the Grade 3 for primary level and Grade 5 for the intermediate level category. In high school, the winners for Star of Knowledge were Grade 7 (Peace), Grade 8 (Narra), Grade 9( Platinum) and Grade 10 Carnation.

For the Best Library Users, the winners were Maria Katrina Unlayao (Grade 3) for primary level, Jeriko Mabasa (Grade 5) for intermediate level. While in high school, the winners were Sophia Ysabel del Castillo (Gr.7-Peace), Shaina Mi Martizano (Gr.8-Narra), Girlie Tambiloc (Gr.9-Platinum) and Edcel Justine Cabaylo (Gr.10-Carnation).

Library Staff Presidential Awardees

                     Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation celebrates President’s Night on February 14, 2017 at the University Gymnasium.

          This event recognized and honored MSEUF employees who have been in the University for 10 – 59 years. Some of the recipient of the presidential awards were the library staff namely: Liberato Albacea (Service award – 14 years), Rosario Villamater (Service award – 15 years), Carolina Engaña (Service Award – 24 years), Buenafe dela Puerta (Silver Service Award – 25 years), Roger Ibias (Silver Service Award – 25 years), Marisa Mahiya (Pearl Service Award – 37 years) and Marietta Enverga (Ruby Service Award- 43 years).

          They were given a plaque of recognition and cash incentives depending on the number of years they served. Other Enverga employees enjoyed the glamourous event in their formal gown and suits.

           Madame Naila Leveriza, the University President expressed her delight seeing the employees in their formal attire and dashing looks. She even wished this event will always be celebrated every year.

82nd National Book Week Celebration Essay Writing Contest Winners
